Legionella Risk Assessments & Safety Devices

What is Legionella:

Legionella also know as Legionnaire’s disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia caused by the inhalation of small droplets of contaminated water containing Legionella bacteria. All man-made hot
and cold water systems are likely to provide an environment where Legionella can grow.

Duties as a Landlord:

As a landlord you are required by law to ensure the healthy and safety of your tenant by keeping the property free from health hazards. You are required by law to carryout a Legionella risk assessment every 2 years to check the safety of the water systems within your rented property. It is also a requirement to have smoke alarms fitted that have a manufacture date and expiry date and carbon monoxide detectors where solid fuel appliances are installed.

Centroheat are trained and fully qualified to carryout Legionella risk assessments and provide a report
on domestic water systems within your rental property. We can also install smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors which have a 10 year lithium battery for peace of mind for you and your tenant.
